Some of your ideas may include:

  • Encourage children to move up high and down low to tuned instruments such as a xylophone, glockenspiel or keyboard. When a high note is played, the children move up high, when the low note is played, the children shrink down low.

  • Sing the song ‘Sometimes I’m Very Very Small’ from Merrily Merrily (A62). At the end of the song when you sing “Guess which I am now?” play a high or low note using a tuned instrument, such a glockenspiel. Children can stretch up high, and be very tall for a high note or stoop down low and makes themselves very small for a low note.
